August and Anna Seier
Heinrich (August) Seier born in Hontrop Westfalen, Germany on August 15, 1849; died February 28, 1911. He married Anna Marie Endlich, November 8, 1872. Anna was born February 22, 1853, died September 27, 1928.

In 1882 Heinrich (August), Anna and their children Johanna, who was born February 10, 1874 and William, who was born September 6, 1880 traveled to America. They settled in Boone County just near Raeville, Nebraska in 1883. William was the first buried in the Raeville Cemetery.

Written on the back of the picture: The August Seier Sr. place 1/2 mi. south of Raeville which they homesteaded. They, the Henn's, Ottle's, & Andre's were the 1st to come in covered wagons. The Seier's lived in a sod house for years. Mom & Pa Seier, Jose, Jennie, Will, Frank, Gust, & Tony. They came to Raeville in 1882 from Germany.

1872 Thomas & James Rae came to settle at Raeville. In the early 1880 and into the nineties came these settlers: Velder, Bremer, Koester, Bode, Seier, Rueth, Schroeder, Pelster, Moser, Schlif, Riley, Fischer, Heck, Corkle, Halbur, Ruloff, Pheifer, Waldman, Morisse, Baumgratner, Chavenu, Andre, Lohoff, Clemen, Temme, Schulte, Grundmeyer, Reick, Schalfer, Bennett, Schmidt, Kricks, Forthais, Openwinkle, Schrad, Wanderheid, Lampman, Lorderman, Nepper, Beckman, Stuhr, Buelt, Daly, Klein, Greiten, Heithoff, Martin, Kramer, Galina, Vanden Ankers, Josten, Krugenbeck, Slukis, Thieman and others.
