Thank you for visiting our web site. I hope you will find it interesting.
With the help of PhotoWorks, we are trying to let you see photos from our life.
We used Kodak DX4330 and Z730 and Canon PowerShot SD600 cameras, and have
used PhotoWorks (and its predecessor Seattle FilmWorks) even longer, back from the
days when we used film in our cameras!. They provide an on-line repository
for our photos which is a very nice service.
On this main page of
our site, we'll focus on photos from the current year (2009)
Green Bay - January 2009
We hadn't been to Green Bay since the big Anniversary in 2007. We picked
a cold weekend (President's Day) but it was fun. (Will didn't come
because he was skiing in Colorado with the church Youth Group.) Cari found it pretty
much too cold to go sledding though we tried -- and the natives didn't seem
to mind the cold. This set of photos also includes Cari's "Project
Week" effort to recreate a portion of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain, which
we visited last summer.
Spring / Early Summer 2009
Ginny's birthday; remodeling the Baby House; short spring hike on new Dragonfly
Trail at Spur Cross. Easter with pretty dresses and Will preaching at the
Sunrise Service. Adam, Lisa, and Sydney Carson visit from Illinois.
Cari Graduates from 8th Grade at Veritas. Matt, Suzanne, Nathan, and Kaylee
Skeens visit from Illinois. Grandma Mickey turns 89. Will is Mr. Green
(from the game Clue) for Montlure Camp, where he's a counselor. Cari makes
fancy food. Cari's Dance Recital.
Disneyland!
For Cari's 8th Grade Graduation, we gave her some choices, but she chose to
go to the "Happiest Place on Earth", Disneyland. She got to bring
her friend Madison Younger along, and though it was a hot drive from Phoenix to
Anaheim in mid-July, it was nice when we got there. Will was off at Church
Camp but didn't really want to go with us anyway. Cari overcame her fear
of Roller Coasters and we had a great time!
Trip to Greece
Our big trip this year was to Greece. It had to fit between pre-arranged kid
activities, so it was relatively short -- only about 10 days. Follow
this link to my choice of the "best of photos"
Here's a
link to all of them.
Or to really get the whole experience: Here's
the whole story with selected photos
Late Summer 2009
Last photo of Dolly, who died in early August. Cari and her friends get ready
to start their Freshman year at Veritas Prep Academy.
Fall 2009
Will gets his own car -- a 2001 Dodge Durango! We want a new dog, and Captain
the Chow / German Shepherd mix seemed to be a good choice, but didn't work out
unfortunately. Fall Trip to Schnepf Farms with Zach Parker and Madison
Younger. We try a again with a new dog, and Bear the Shar Pei is a great
choice! Will and I take him backpacking at Fossil Creek to celebrate
Will's 17th Birthday. Cari has a pretty dress for the Homecoming Dance.
More to come...
