Spring 2006 (January - April)
Ever since we were in Costa Rica last summer and got bounced
severely on a horse, DX4330 camera was flaky -- sometimes it worked, sometimes
it didn't. It was getting worse and worse, and there are some missing photos
from this period when it just
didn't work. Ginny said we had to do something before vacation this summer.
So I went out on E-Bay and bought another DX4330, since
I had the printer dock and all the gear!
Includes: Will wins another Chili Cook-off at Palo Cristi
Church ("Hottest" this time)! Backpack with kids to Bluff Springs in the Superstitions
after we FINALLY get some rain; Will's 7th Grade Science Project "Which Hits the
Ball Farther: Wood or Metal Bats?"; Easter -- Papa Les and Grandma Shirley,
the Ross Family, and Eric and Lynda Choate come over for dinner and the kids enjoy
an egg hunt.
Palo Cristi Retreat to Camp Pine Rock, Prescott
Papa Les and Grandma Shirley join 70+ members of the church
at a great retreat.
Summer 2006 Activities
A Week in the Chicago Area
Niece / Cousin Lauren Skeens was getting married to Adam
Suhayda, and of course we had to be there, and bring Grandma Mickey (and Grandma
Ruth Carson) along too. We went to the King Tut exhibit at the Field Museum,
as well as the Leonardo da Vinci exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry.
Grandma Mickey also celebrated her 86th Birthday while we were there.
Wedding Photos: Adam and Lauren
It was a hot day at the cute little church in the Naper
Settlement, but it was a very nice service and reception.
Big Trip to Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia
We'd been planning it since just after Christmas 2005,
and we completed it in June. Beautiful scenery and exotic languages.
We chose about 65 photos to give you a taste of the trip.
For the story of the trip,
(warning, it's pretty detailed) check this out.
If you want to see ALL the pictures, check out this link.(warning -- it takes
awhile to download the slideshow)
Fall 2006 Activities
We don't have as many photos, since we didn't have a camera. I did buy a disposable
camera and took photos of a rainy camping trip with the kids to the Chiracahua Mountains
over Labor Day, and then fishing and beach time at Rocky Point in late October,
but the camera got lost. (too bad!)
We do have photos from Will's Birthday, Thanksgiving in Green Bay, etc.

Christmas morning found lots of presents under our tree. We had the Ross Family
and Grandma Mickey over for Christmas dinner on a beautiful Arizona Christmas Day!
