It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that we will not be hosting the 3rd annual Danielle Roach “Save 7 Lives” 5K run & 1 Mile Fun Run/ Walk this year. I do thank you for your interest in our great event for such a worthwhile cause while celebrating Danielle’s legacy at the same time.

Run or walk to celebrate Danielle’s life and spread the word of organ and tissue donation. As Danielle had said in the past “We cannot take them with us!”

This Web site honors Danielle Renee Roach, who was taken too early from us at 26 years young. She had a highly respected character, great personality and zest for life.

Our third-annual event has partnered with The Virginian-Pilot and their partners WVEC News Channel 13, LifeNet, and save7lives.org to encourage all Virginians to say “yes” to organ and tissue donation.

One donor can save seven lives and enhance the lives of more than 50 people. Danielle knew this and believed in it. In December 1998, Danielle donated a kidney to her mother, Brenda, to save her mother’s life. After Danielle’s passing in May 2004, her commitment to organ donation allowed her to give the gift of life and sight to countless others.

Among her community contributions, Danielle became active in educating others about organ and tissue donation, including working as a volunteer with LifeNet.
