The Danielle Roach “Save7Lives” 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run has been unfortunately cancelled. See "Event Details".

The race will be chip timed by the Tidewater Striders.

Admission to the Garden for runners and spectators is $1 per person at the front gate.  No pets will be allowed.

The course is flat and winds through the garden. Afterwards, we’ll present awards in each age group, raffle off a bunch of great gifts and provide food and music.  Please join us for a great day!

We Love Volunteers! Below are some volunteer opportunities:

Course Marshal - Direct the athletes along the course and to assist an athlete if help is needed.

Water Station - Serve water to each athlete who requires it and assist an athlete if help is needed.

Finish Line - Remove all chip timers from all athletes’ ankles before allowing them to leave the finish corral. (Physical exertion, such as bending over, is required in the position.)

Hospitality - Ensure that all athletes receive food and drink.

Registration – To hand out numbers, T-shirts, Chips and race packets to pre-registered athletes. To handle race day registration, assign numbers, hand out T-shirts, chip timers, race packets and collect money.

Set up/Clean up – Set up and clean up race staging area, race course and water stations.

Greeter – Stand in the entrance areas of the park and answer questions and direct athletes.
