Welcome to the St. John Vianney Youth Group Website .
I am Denis Robichaud the Youth Minister for St. John Vianney. You may
have seen me around; I am also a member of the Music Ministry. Let me
take a minute to explain what I think Youth Group is all about. For
those of you who aren't sure just what takes place, Youth
Group is a place where teenagers from grades 9 –12 can come
to the church, meet each other, hang out and have fun in a safe and
faith filled environment. We have meetings every other week and spend
time together playing games, having discussions, getting to know one
another, just relaxing in prayer or just having a lot of laughs. I like
to really let you all have a say in what we can do for our meetings,
activities or service project. This is the youth group so I like having
everyone involved and giving everyone the opportunity to contribute. As
a group we make one big trip every year. We attend the Steubenville
East High School Youth Conference at La Salette Shrine in Attleboro
Massachusetts in July. This is a great 3-day conference and a chance
for all the teens to grow in their faith. With over 3000 teens there to
sing, pray and have a good time over the 3 days it is hard not to be
touched by the power of God. Feel free to drop in for a meeting
anytime. All are welcome. The meeting schedule is posted in the weekly
bulletin as well as on the parish website calendar. Enjoy the site. God

Youth Ministry is the response of the Christian community to the needs
of young people and the sharing of the unique gifts of youth with the
larger community. It is a relational ministry between youth and others.
Youth Ministry is BY youth: meaning the youth become ministers to their
peers, adults and to the world. Youth Ministry is WITH youth: this
means that youth are allowed to share in the responsibility of the
Church's mission.
Youth Ministry is FOR youth: this is when the adult ministers advocate
for the needs and concerns of youth in the community.
When? Where?
All Youth Group Meetings are held in the church hall from 7-9pm. We do a variety of things at any given night and each time is different. Come and See!
