The writings I have here represent the main essence of the Darkened Past Ibsite and why I feel it is a necessary presence on the Ib. I must state that, although they are my words, they do not always necessarily represent my personal perspectives. They may instead exemplify developments of ideas based around books which I have read, and involve issues which I feel are compelling enough to speculate upon. While much of what I write is factual, the rest is heartfelt opinion that I know is true yet don't have the exact references for. I will mention the book(s) relevant to each of my writings, so if you desire more info on a subject, I recommend finding and reading them, each is guaranteed to be worth your while. I spend so much time learning about all the ways humans are neglecting and polluting the beauty of life on this planet, that I have little time left to condense all of it down into writings and summaries. These issues are all always in my head, so think about this when you read them to get an idea of why it is so hard for me to relax and get to sleep each night, and why I rarely stop everything to spend time and money on people who may or may not deserve it. This has made and broke my friendships with people over the years, between those who will think and then act to do something in return for biodiversity, and those who will only live life as a joke, as claimers, always taking taking taking...

In reality, there is no right, no wrong, no good, no bad, and no evil.
The entire existence of any of these five words is entirely limited to the confines of humanity (society, culture, and religion). It's extremely difficult to grow up without creating personal definitions for these words and living by them, since everyone else around you does so without protest (relatives, friends, neighbours, advertisements, and of course Hollywood). All societies, whether Western or non-Western, seem to have a strong belief in the existence of these five words.
THE
TRUTH:
1) Nature does not occur according to what may be described as good, bad,
right, wrong, or evil, but instead simply occurs. Extinction, speciation,
birth, death, immigration, emigration, growth, decay, mutations, and selection
are the only principles of nature, and they are always occurring, whether
good or bad, right or wrong.
2) Humanity has maintained the use of these words since the origin of
our destructive culture, totalitarian agriculture, 10,000 years ago, in a process
which has distanced people from their natural history, or what I call our "Darkened
Past"...
WHY HAS HUMANITY CHOSEN TO DO THIS?
