Furniture/ House Design and Fabrication
This is a cabinet that I designed and built. The frame is brushed steel, covered in a clearcoat. The sides, top and bottom are painted wood, and the front panel is tinted clear acrylic.
Here's a closeup, which better shows the brushed steel, hinges, acrylic, and fasteners for the plastic.
This is a couch I built, using a simple design. The finish is again brushed steel covered with a clearcoat. The cushions are a red velour, with 4 buttons on each. The cushions are kind of retro 60's, while the frame is very modern industrial.
This is the front door of my house. It used to be a school door, which I chemically stripped, grinded, and covered in a 2 part UV resistant epoxy coating.
This is the front of a barbacue grille I made for a friend. The center was made to look like mountains.
Here is a picture of my kitchen, of which I did all the remodeling work myself. The house was built in 1959 and the kitchen was in it's original state. Looking a bit dated with it's "peppered" yellow counter tile, and scroll cabinet handles. I replaced the 54 year old tile countertop with stainless steel. The cabinet doors were refinished with a "hammered" silver paint. I also did the light fixtures, electrical, sink, and plumbing.
This closeup better shows the cabinet doors, handles, and stainless countertop.
