Here are some photos of how to make an oven for post-curing composites.

Cost of materials is less than US$20.00!

Short bill of materials:

1   2'x4' sheet of metalized mylar coated insulating stytrofoam (R-Gard/Insulfoam from Home Depot).
1   4' 2-conductor extension cord.
2   plastic lamp holders.
2   40W light bulbs.
1   wall-mount light dimmer.
1   plastic wall recepticle box.
1   roll duct tape (high temp).

inside heater box
Here's a picture of the inside... two 40W incandescents do the dirty work.

temperature control
Here's how we adjust the temperature... very simple! A wall-mount light dimmer in a plastic outlet box housing.

temperature readout
Here's how we monitor the temp inside the oven... a cheap digital thermometer with thermistor.

More to come!!
