Starting with a piano background, David switched to accordion at age 14. Marci Phelan, of Cobblestone Ceili Band , mentored him until he played his first Feis at age 15. Since then, David has continued to play for Irish Dancers from coast to coast. His first dance CD, "Step This Way" was released in June of 2004.
