13.  MARY JANE³ ANAWALT (CATHERINE²SPONAUGLE, WILLIAM¹, BALSOR) was born December 29, 1861 in Cameron, Missouri, and died September 07, 1927 in Climax, Missouri.  She married ANDREW JACKSON STEWART, son of JOHN STEWART and LONORA NEWTON.  He was born 1840 in Vermont, Erie, PA, and died January 19, 1915.

He married (3) ADDIE SPUNAUGLE July 1903, daughter of HENRY SPUNAUGLE and CATHERINE WILSON.  She was born January 1888 in Page County, Iowa, and died in Shenandoah, Page County, Iowa.  He married (4) GEORGIA VAN HORN (not her maiden name) September 19, 1914 in Clarinda, Page County, Iowa.  She was born Abt. 1874.

18.  MATILDA³ SPRIGG (MARY ²SPONAUGLE, WILLIAM¹, BALSOR) was born 1857 in Prb. Lewis County, Virginia, and died 1910 in Dallas Twp., Taylor County, Iowa.  She married 1) JESSE STODDARD abt. 1879.  He was b. abt 1858.  She married 2)  WALTER F. CLINE Abt. 1881.  He was born 1858 in Pennsylvania, and died 1907.

Note: Most information on this family is from census records and Social Security Death Index (SSDI); however the ANI by Pat O'Dell furnished a few of the dates for Roy C. Cline and the marriage information for Nellie Cline.  The Census of 1880 indicates that Matilda and her first husband, Jesse Stoddard, may have had a daughter b.1880, named Essie Stoddard.

21.  EMMA BELLE³ "Belle" SPUNAUGLE (WILLIAM JACKSON², WILLIAM¹, BALSOR) was born Abt. 1866 in Illinois, and died in Nebraska.  She married <unk> CLARK.

Note:  Emma Belle Spunaugle was known as "Belle" by the family.  The only information about her marriage and daughter that I have is a note written by Ervin Spunaugle, her nephew, on a page also annotated in the handwriting of Ralph Spunaugle, her brother.  The note states that Elsie Higby, daughter of "Belle" lived "in Aurora, Nebraska".  This has not been confirmed.

22.  CHARLES HENRY³ SPUNAUGLE (WILLIAM JACKSON², WILLIAM¹, BALSOR) was born September 11, 1868 in Yorktown, Page County, Iowa, and died November 14, 1921 in Cudahy, Los Angeles Co., California.  He married (1) LONA OCENA STARRETT March 19, 1907, daughter of CHARLES STARRETT in Neillsville, Wisconsin.  She was born January 28, 1874 in Springville, Vernon County WI, and died February 01, 1963 in LaCrosse Lutheran Hospital, LaCross WI.  He married (2) NELLIE VIOLA MCQUEEN Aft. 1910, daughter of ERASTUS TERRY MCQUEEN and CLARISSA CORDELIA FARLEY.  She was born January 1, 1870, in Fulton County IL.

Note: Information on Charles Spunaugle comes primarily from the Census and from Ralph Spunaugle. Charles' daughter, Birdie Helen (Spunaugle) Rosenbaum had 8 children (all living and we are in contact)  and they have furnished part of this information. Nellie Viola McQueen was identified through correspondence with the McQueen family.  She had previously been married to Samuel McCarty; divorced McCarty in 1910 (identified from ANI and census).

24.  EVA³ SPUNAUGLE (WILLIAM JACKSON², WILLIAM¹, BALSOR) was born August 19, 1878 in Page County, Iowa, and died November 14, 1939 in Bay City, Tillamook, Oregon.  She married HOMER DAWLEY FLAGG December 15, 1903 in Clarinda, Page County, Iowa, son of WILLIAM FLAGG and MARY MOOREHEAD.  He was born January 26, 1879 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and died December 16, 1957 in Tillamook, Tillamook, Oregon.

29.  ALBERT³ SPUNAUGLE (DANIEL², WILLIAM¹, BALSOR) was born September 08, 1875 in Page County, Iowa, and died April 27, 1928.  He married LULA MAGGIE PEARCE 1909.  She was born September 28, 1889 in Texas, and died January 1979.

Note: Albert Spunaugle's family is primarily from census records, with contributions by Anna Marie Hula of Kansas and reference to SSDI.  In addition, a letter from Daniel S. Spunaugle was among the family papers collected by Ervin Spunaugle, and it contained information about Albert's descendants. 30.  JESSE MYERS³ SPUNAUGLE (DANIEL², WILLIAM¹, BALSOR) was born April 14, 1881 in Prb. Page County, IA, and died June 12, 1954.  He married MARY ADA WILSON October 16, 1915 in Oswego, Kansas, daughter of BURTON WILSON and URSULA BOYLE.  She was born December 29, 1887 in Oklahoma.

31.  IDA MABEL³ SPUNAUGLE, b. November 03, 1892, Oklahoma; d. May 09, 1965 in Welch, Craig County OK.  She married FLOYD ANDREW MILLS, son of JOHN A. MILLS, on November 6, 1911.  He was born December 5, 1895 in Oklahoma and died January 1970, in Oklahoma.

Note: Information on the family of Ida Spunaugle and F.A. Mills has come primarily from the Census of 1930.  Of interest on the census is the notation that Floyd Mills was "7/16 Shawnee Indian".  His father, John A. Mills, was living with Floyd and Ida in that census, and he is noted to be "3/4 Shawnee Indian".

32.  BERTHA JANE³ SPUNAUGLE (DANIEL², WILLIAM¹, BALSOR) was born March 28, 1899 in Oklahoma, and died January 30, 1967 in Oklahoma.  She married JAMES ELMER FINLEY Abt. 1925, son of HENRY FINLEY and ANNA GERATY.  He was born May 25, 1896, and died September 28, 1963.

DILLAHAY April 23, 1928.

Note: Parl and Alta Mae Spunaugle had a total of eleven children, including two sets of twins (one set of boys, one of girls).   Of their children, six were boys, five were girls.  Since members of this family are still living, family information is available by request only.  Parl's family lived in Marshall County, Kansas.  EJ
