  2. American Museum of Natural History
    The museum, located in New York City, features exhibits on different sciences, incluing the Rose Center For Earth and Space.

    Smithsonian Institution
    The Smithsonian Institution consists of sixteen museums located around Washington D.C. and several research facilities throughout the United States. The more popular attractions are the National Museum of Natural History, the National Air & Space Museum and the National Portrait Gallery.

    Jacques Cousteau Kid's Corner
    This is from the Cousteau Foundation, which has a museum in Monaco. Jacques Cousteau was a world famous oceanic traveler who brought the world to the television in an effort to save our oceans, and the living creatures in them.

    The premiere space website, this is where the action takes place. Shuttle updates and other items related to Space can be found here. The Kid's Place has information about the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Space Station.

    The Hubble Project
    This is a part of NASA's website (although not easily found) concerning the Hubble Telescope out of the Goddard Space Flight Center. This site contains updates on the images from deep space being sent from Hubble back to earth.

    This is a site for children, parents and teachers designed to challenge children to read books. Points are given for books read, with prizes assigned to the points.

    Discovery.com
    The website for the Discovery Channel for cable television also carries Discovery Classroom, The Travel Channel and Animal Planet, among other sites.

    Kids' Place
    This site has free games and activites geared towards K-8 featuring math, reading, science and more.

    Usborne Online.com
    Usborne carries books of its own publication. Reading games and other activities are on this site for children.

    World of Reading
    Another internet site devoted towards getting children to read more books. A search engine is included in this site to help children find the books they want.

    This is a fun little site for older children interested in castles, legends and just about anything else mideval!

    Walt Disney Site
    This is a site made for the entire family, a la Walt Disney. Loaded with lots of animation and graphics, this site contains games for the children, shopping and a page for designing your next Disney vacation.

    O Kid.com
    Fun site with lots of games and lots of noises.

    Seussville
    This site is based on the characters created by Dr. Seuss. There are games and activities where children can win prizes, as well as pages for parents to purchase books.

    Soda Constructor
    This is a fun website that uses geometric figures for movement and to show the effects of different forces that we take for granted with our own bodies. Be careful: This site can get addictive!
