NS 9760 leads 9340, which is spraying for bugs in the river valley, westbound at Newport, PA, on the Pittsburgh Division, July 5, 2009.

NS 4271 leads NS 955 OCS deadhead eastbound at Newport. This is a setup move to Norfolk, VA, for an inspection trip of the new Heartland Corridor.

NS 4271 leads 955 eastbound over the Rockville Bridge.

NS 4271 leads 955 southbound at Lees Cross Roads on the Lurgan Line. VERY high sun, note the shadow of the headlight. :-(

NS 955 south of Shippensburg, PA. At least I got to use a polarizer on two shots, then the sun went away. :-(

NS 8920 leads NS 37Q southbound through the Success (VA) interlocking on the H-line.

NS 2538 leads NS 12R northbound on the siding at Success after meeting 37Q.

NS 4271 comes southbound at Success with Juanita at the throttle (I know she hates driving the Fs).

955 going away at Success ... nobody is home ... the bars on the back window for a deadhead movement.

NS 4271 leads 955 eastbound along Happy Creek Road about mp 48 on the B-line. Actually, I didn't mind the clouds on the B-line, since normally an eastbound at this time would be coming out of the sun, and hard to photograph. ;-)

NE 955 assaults the Linden Grade. Actually, it sounded like only the two F9As were on-line.

Drifting downgrade through Markham, VA. A local noticed about half a dozen cars of railfans here and thought the population of town just doubled. ;-) With a Sunday movement, there were a number of railfans out.

Juanita is blowing the horn to wake up the cows ... actually, trying to get Shirley's attention, be she wasn't home. :-( She was probably over at Allison (a mile away).

955 is holding at Irby, the east end of the passing siding, while NS 9127 leads NS 214 westbound at The Plains, VA, for a meet.

NS 4271 leads 955 past the old freight and passenger stations in The Plains. There was a railfan across the tracks that looked like he was trying to duplicate the shot I had a couple weeks ago of the Fs "passing" the passenger station ... uh, at the time, the train was stopped, and I was under the direction of the RFE ... not just standing by the ballast. :-(

NS 4271 leads 955 eastbound at Turner Road crossing. Lots of new ballast spread, along with new ties dumped along the ROW. Sounds like a lot of MOW on the B-line to come soon.
