Defendant Sentenced for Filing False Tax Return
May 15, 2007, in Phoenix, AZ, Robert N. Shearburn was sentenced to 12 months in prison and was ordered to pay $232,400 in restitution to the Internal Revenue Service. Shearburn pleaded guilty on January 9, 2007, to making and subscribing to a materially false tax return. According to court documents, Shearburn admitted that he had signed and filed a tax return for the year 2000 which falsely reported his taxable income was $28,616 and his tax due and owing was $2,000. Shearburn admitted that he underreported gross income was approximately $830,000, with a tax due and owing of $232,400.

On Thursday, April 17th, 2003 at about 7:00AM, the properties of Robert N and Robert L Shearburn were served with
Search Warrants. Pertinent Documents were seized at that time.
The Search Warrant was part of a joint operation ran by the Az Corporation Commission (Securities Division), FBI and IRS.
