Dave,

I had no clue these characters (Bob and C.J.) had a fan club.  With this in mind I thought it wouldn’t hurt to let you know a little of us and how this scam has affected us.

I’m 62 years old, disabled, on oxygen 24/7 and spend 90% of my time in a wheelchair with a thought of only having a year or so to live. However, I did get to see how real live scam artist work and Bob has the nerve to share his prostate cancer with me.

June 1999, my employer like many other companies needed to restructure and do some labor cuts in the field and I was one of them. I did get a good severance package and went on Cobra for health insurance. The timing was good as I was way over due for a hip replacement, not one but both hips. I lived with this agonizing pain for five years. The first one was to be scheduled for early April 2000 and the 2nd a least 6 months later. In preparing for the first operation a routine physical is required including a chest x-ray assuring I was pneumonia free. With no previous symptoms or even a cough they discovered lung cancer and it was suggested that the whole right lung should be removed because of its’ location within the lung. This was added assurance of the cancer to spread or return to the same area and testing was done for me assuring me I would be OK with one lung. May 15, 2000 the lung was removed and my mother died 3 days prior to the operation. This was very difficult if not the most period of my life, however I had to continue as I have family relying on me.

A month later, June 2000, we followed an Arizona Republic (newspaper) ad to Phoenix placed by Innovative Financial Services where we met Bob Jr. With Wall Street, our 401K and other investment in a real struggle we needed to take a serious look at our retirement portfolio as it  was to late to start a new career especially a guy with one lung and two artificial hips. The viatical investment with a 14% return was very appealing comparing what was available on the streets; so we jumped in with the first contract June 2000, for $40,000 plus interest and another contract was done December 2000 for $60,000 plus interest.

May 2002, 2 years later, pain started to settle in the right side of the rib cage and my doctor requested x-rays with a bone scan and found the cancer did return into the bone which is not curable, reversible or even accept a remission. I’m now doing daily radiation (3-weeks) for the first, and then I don’t know what lies ahead. My life expectation is now 8-14 months and $114,000.00 out the window. With the medical bills pilling up I have no idea how long I will be able to pay for pain relief medication. I don’t worry so much about me but my wife will be liable and my fear of her losing our home.

Yes, C. J.  And Bob are real pros, but I would like to know how they sleep at night.

Sincerely,

Don Loisy
