Descendants of Anton Reichart

Anton Reichart was born in Shornsheim, Germany in 1802. He immigrated to the United States in the 1850s, and settled in Grasshopper Falls (later renamed Valley Falls), Kansas prior to the start of the American Civil War. His son Frederick volunteered in the Civil War in Sept. 8, 1862, in the enlisted Kansas 11th Infantry, later the 11th Cavalry Regiment.
