Descendants of Benjamin Cramer
Benjamin Cramer is my most distant known Cramer ancestor. I found him on the internet. My grandfather, Fred Cramer said that the Cramer's were Pennsylvania Dutch (Dutch is American for Deutsch, or German), and it turns out that Benjamin was from Pennsylvania, but he moved to Kansas prior to the 1880 census. Prior to that his son, Elijah Cramer, had been my most-distant known Cramer relative. He is my great-grandfather on my father's side. He died before my father's fourth birthday, so my father knows nothing about him. I wish that I had asked about him before my grandfather's death, because my grandfather never mentioned him on his own. I scanned this picture recently, it is the only picture I have seen of my great-grandparents. The picture is in poor shape, but I can recognize Elijah's "Cramer build". If anyone knows anything about Elijah Cramer or his ancestors, I would be truly grateful for that information.
