The Memorial Day pattern was pretty consistent this year. Fish early and get off the water by noon or 1:00 PM before the afternon wind chop kicks up.. That's the recommended drill. In the afternoon and early evening, we took siestas, laid on the beach, partook of liquid refreshments, and/or repaired stuff. For me, that meant fixing and abating the mess made by packrats that got into our trailer through the refrigerator fan. It was a real mess. For others more fortunate and rat-less, Baja Christine brought a bocce set down. Tourneys were held at Casa Bruce. Here, Scottie gets ready to roll, while Jarad looks on.

Here, the Peanut Gallery watches in awe.

During the tournament, the water truck cometh, despite nebulous information duly provided. Miguel Romero Fernandez gratefully will deliver for less than Tio used to. Even though, we surely miss Tio. Here, Miguel guides the agua into our drum. Note the newly installed hardware cloth ratproofing over the refrigerator fans!

After our drums were full, the blessed agua troque headed over to Eddie's place. Note the new tanque. Miguel said Tio's old one had too many holes to fix. We believe him.
