October here in southern California and northern Baja saw some storm activity. The storms were not derived from the Eastern Pacific Trades this October, but rather, were good ol' fashioned winter storms out of the Gulf of Alaska. The temperatures were cool, conducive to trailer moving. The winds were moderate, not good for fishing. A squall was noted offshore to the east.

The winds would die at night. We had a nice dinner under the stars.

The next morning, the sun lit up the Sierras to the west.
A coyote cruised the camp.

Corona Dan relaxed at Dean & Cathy's café.

A Great Blue Heron landed atop Loncho's shack.

And a soaring Osprey stalked its next meal from over the cliffs edge.

At night, the little Kangaroo Rats (actually big mice) played hide and seek under the veranda. They're the quintessential desert denizens.
