Another lovely sunrise greeted us early into the trip.

The rains from Juliette greened up the terrain the previous fall. Plants mean mice and mice mean things that like to eat them. We discovered that los cascabeles had taken refuge beneath our cozy trailers. I got buzzed by one under the Aljo first, then Pandro got buzzed at night under the Nomad. I wielded my snare and put them safely into a garbage can

and secured the lid for a trip across the highway. Once safely relocated a mile or two away, Señor Sidewinder could continue to eat rats and mice unabated.

One good turn deserved another, so out to the seamount we continued to go, as long as the weather cooperated. Here, Marwan and Pandro cruise across calm seas.

If you drop down too deep, you're likely to come up with a Goldspotted Bass. That's not all bad, however. They get fairly large...for a bass and they're pretty darn tasty.

Alternatively, while fishing inshore, an ugly Stone Scorpionfish with poison spines might fill your creel. That's not bad either, as they're yummy. Marwan demonstrated the technique.

Back at camp, our Cactus Wrens merrily raised their young atop our tortuga shell.
