Saturday was another calm day. When the tide was still low, I photographed a couple of American Oystercatchers on a rock out front through the bwana scope.

We headed out fairly early for the Sierra spot. We didn't hook much, so we went over to South La Poma and trolled for awhile. Catching nothing there, we continued around the east side of La Poma before eventually heading north toward the Seamount. As we trolled to the mount, I got a hookup. It was a Yellowtail. I called in the fleet. Before long, Cathy and I had a couple of doubles going. Here, Cathy holds one she caught.

Neighbor Wayne, AKA Joaquin de Lopez, teamed up with Eddie. Wayne hooked a nice Yellow, before kicking back while Eddie cast futilely.

After a hour or so on the seamount, Cathy and I headed to the Sierra spot again. She hooked into a Porgy.

We let `em go. We returned to shore soon thereafter and got ready for some fish tacos. The sunset that night was spectacular.

Cathy photographed Ramona with the Sierras as a backdrop.

I took this shot of Dmitria out front after the whole place was aglow in the red light of sunset.
