The year's Mexico season started early with a trip down to Freddie's place in Rincon de Guayabitos, Nayarit. It ain't Baja, but it's close enough. I had a great time bumming around the countryside and looking at birds and lizards. Pandro, Freddie and Al hit the links down in Puerto Vallarta. I took lots of interesting pictures.

In March, Dan and Pandro joined us and we got into some fast and furious fishing action. Mostly Sierra were caught, but also a scattering of Yellowtail. We hit the bottom fish on the rockpile and I got a nice cabrilla. We clammed at Gonzaga and made linguine.

Over Memorial Day, Mike came down as usual and we got into some Totuaba big time. We had trouble releasing them, so we quit catching them while we were ahead. We also got some good bassing in at the rockpile.

The summer storm season spared us this year. October trip was a bit delayed. Dan came down again and we did some good swimming and eating. Ed got a new trailer and got Pandro to bring it down for him. Loncho and crew lifted the old one and moved it back to a place of lesser prominence. I got pads poured for an expansion of the veranda. On a sadder note, Tio died in August. We miss his constant presence.

Christmastime was a portent of the upcoming rainy season. Substantial rain fell on us. Fishing was sporadic, probably the worst time for getting out at Christmas since we started coming down here in 1990. Loafing was fun though and I got the frame for the new veranda built.
