By Tuesday, the weather had been consistently nice. The sea was glass again. Back out to the islands we would go. We spotted birds working and headed to that spot. I hooked up a nice 6 - 7 pound Yellowtail. Before long, we latched on to some nice Sierra. I bounced one into the boat for future ceviché or barbecue. We ended up boating 4 Sierra and releasing a few more. This one went about 5 pounds.

As you can see, the bait was thick. We got some company when they saw us hooked-up.

The bite turned off after a short time and we headed over to our secret rockpile. We dredged up a few more Goldspotted Bass. I hooked into something I knew was larger. After a bit of winching, I gaffed a nice 6 pound Spotted Cabrilla. I need to hold these fish in front of me like Geoff does to make them look bigger.

My winch setup makes dragging the boats up a cinch.

We got back a little after noon and decided to head down to Alfonsina's to do some clamming. After all, we did have clam linguine on the menu. The clammers got busy digging.

I took this panoramic shot looking north toward Ensenada San Francisquito and Papa Fernandez village.
On the way back, we stopped in Rancho Grande for water and stuff. We waited under their ramada for quite awhile, but no one showed up to open the store......hey, Mañana.
Back on shore later that afternoon, the sea was unbelievably tranquil.
In the evening, I relaxed under the ramada at Dean & Cathy's Café.
