Later in the day, Mike caught a nice Goldspotted Bass out on the rockpile.

Eddie, Scott and Ingrid cruised.

Back on shore, we enjoyed our time greatly. A family of Gambel's Quail had taken up residence this year. One of the parents kept watch atop a bush while the young-`uns frolicked around.

Bruce and Christine came down on Friday and stayed the whole next week. They set up a little palapa on the beach. The water was nice: 75°. We swam every day. Here's a panorama looking north. The water clarity was nice.

One last tidbit of information, we saw a number of Humboldt Squid floundering near shore in the morning. Loncho says that this happens every few years when the squid chase baitfish too close to shore at night and get caught by the tide, or battered by the bottom. Eddie picked a couple up and took them home. They were delicious!! I'll never let that opportunity pass again.
On the way home, we made a pit stop and I saw this big boy hanging out near the road. Later research identified it as a Desert Iguana.

Well, I'm sorry I don't have more photos, but I don't have any more photos. Mañana maybe.
Adios for the summer. See y'all in October.
