| History |
I was born and raised in Shelton, Connecticut. I graduated from Central Connecticut State University in May of 1988, was married in June of 1988, and moved to New Jersey. In November of 1988 my husband and I moved to Baltimore, Maryland where he bought a fast food restaurant with my brother. I began working at Arthur Andersen in downtown Baltimore. In 1990 I began teaching adult education two nights per week in addition to working at Arthur Andersen. In 1992 my daughter was born. I stopped teaching and began working three days a week at Arthur Andersen in downtown Baltimore and two days a week out of my home. In March of 1995 we decided to move to San Diego to be with my husband's uncle. We drove across country with our two-year-old daughter and German Shepherd. I was eight months pregnant with our son at the time. We arrived in San Diego in early April, moved into a house on May 1, and our son was born on May 24. From June, 1995 - June, 2001 I worked as an office manager for a painting contractor and a plumbing contractor. In August of 2001 I accepted a teaching position at Grossmont High School. |
