REDS T-SHIRT QUILT
I finally made a t-shirt quilt for myself! I started this quilt in 2003 & finished it in July, 2005. The Reds were in sole possession of Last Place in the National League Central at the time. The 2005 season probably won't improve with time. Unfortunately, none of the pictures show the really neat look of the black piping I used.

One of my shirts celebrating the Reds 1990 World Series win is in this group. And yes, I have more than one!

Another of the older shirts shows the Triple Threat consisting of Chris Sabo, Barry Larkin, & Hal Morris. All 3 were on the 1990 team.

#16, Reggie Sanders, now plays for the St. Louis Cardinals, where he continues to strike out way too often!
And the newest shirt features Ken Griffey, Jr.
BASEBALL SQUARES
Fabrics came from my stash and from the Baseball Swap internet group. The quilt was started in an Ami Simms workshop in March 2002, then set aside after piecing was complete because I didn't like the lack of contrast in my 3D setting squares. When I pulled it out after a couple of months, I sprayed dyed them black, which improved the contrast. More storage time, then I added the black border that was purchased during a shop hop with Baseball Swap visitors Katie-from-St-Paul & Katie (and her friend Bonnie) from Norfolk. I basted the quilt & again set it aside for a while. FINALLY quilted in November 2003, using red cotton thread and a feather stitch which looks like the seams on a baseball.Baseball Squares (2003, 62" x 74")
