BAND BIO

Looking for a fun night out with some hard-driving blues? Get ready to party-hardy with Little Joe & Big Trouble! Whether its basic blues, country or rock & roll, you can expect good, solid entertainment every time from one of Omaha’s premier performing groups.

Featuring “Little” Joe McCarthy on vocals and guitar, even a casual listener can plainly see where the group’s drive starts. Joe writes many of the group’s original songs and pretty much calls the shots on stage.

Complementing Joe’s creative guitar solos and vocals is the Big Trouble band, which has gained critical acclaim as the hardest working rhythm section in Omaha. With seasoned pros like John Rodelander (percussion), Denny Flynn (keyboards & vocals), and Mike White (bass & vocals), one can hardly disagree. These guys really kick it up a notch!

The group has performed in the Omaha metro area for the past 8 years at a variety of venues including: Welcome Inn, Doc’s Bar & Grill, McKennas, Stu’s Place, Anchor Inn, Downtown Blues Club, Sullivans, Dee’s Frontier Bar, Grandmothers, Maggie McCalls, The Revue, Blair Yacht Club, Whiskey Roadhouse (Horsehoe Casino in CB) and the “Blues Cruise” aboard Omaha’s River City Star.

Since 2008, the band has also hooked up with Sue Murray (vocals and guitar) and Jimmy Ray Pearce (vocal and guitar) to cover more Country & acoustic venues. Together known as WILDFIRE, you can catch their schedule on the links page.

For those of you in need of a true classic blues fix, the guys occasionally back up Steve George (vocals). Residing in Des Moines, Steve makes it over to Omaha from time to time to favor us with his special brand of blues. Check out his website, also on the links page.
