#002   Steatite and Pipestone Heishi

This black steatite (soapstone) is a newer find in Russia.  Only the graduated strand remains available.  Stone diameters gradate from 1mm to 2.5mm.  The sienna colored pipestone is available in both an 8mm and 6mm diameter strand.  Pipestone is a clay based stone and has traditionally been used by Native Americans to carve ceremonial pipes, including the peace pipe.  All these strands are uniform in their vibrant color and come in 16" strands.

#003   Unikite Chip

These strands of smoothed and glossy chips of Unikite measure 16". Unikite is composed of green epidote and salmon-pink feldspar.  It gets its name from its place of origin, the Unikite Mountains between Tennessee and North Carolina.  Metaphysical properties have been attributed to the stone, indicating it leads to emotional balance.  The pink is said to awaken the love within through the heart chakra.  The green is believed to have healing properties for all hurts.  2 in stock.

#005 Malachite Beads

These malachite beads gradate in size from about 14.5 to 5.5mm. One 22" strand available.

#009   Blue Howlite

These white howlite beads have been dyed an electrifying blue and mimic turquoise.  The image above does not quite portray just how intense a blue these beads are.  Two 17" strands available.

#010  Serpentine Saucers

This 16" strand is made up of yellow/green/brown serpentine saucers.  Found in North America, these stones come from the Salt River Valley in Arizona.  Serpentine gets its name from the surface pattern on the rock, which may resemble snake skin.  Historically serpentine has been used as a substitute for jade because it is easily carved and polishes nicely.  Typically the stone is formed from peridotite during the metamorphic process.  1 strand available.

#011  High Quality Lapis Lazuli

These lapis lazuli strands are very beautiful in their rich blue color. These higher quality lapis beads are valuable. The top strand is made up of 8mm beads (SOLD).  The bottom two strands are made up of larger 10mm lapis beads.  Two of these 16" strands available.
