| #002 Dolphin Overlay Bracelet | |
| The dolphin/porpoise imagery signifies good luck or protection. It is said that if a family member is ill, if you are experiencing misfortune, or if someone has threatened you, you should approach the ocean and pray to the dolphin. Be specific in your needs and ask for aid. The request will be granted if the dolphin stands, laughs and dances backwards. For more information about Native nature symbols see the book 'Spirits of the Earth' available here. The individual details of the bracelet's imagery are skillfully cut from silver sheet and painstakingly soldered into place. The Hopi artist has stamped his initials 'JF' on the back. It is also stamped 'STERLING'. It is 1" wide and can be adjusted in size to some extent. A very well crafted piece. |

| #007 Appliqué Story Bracelet | |
|
The imagery depicts traditional
Navajo life. Each detail has been tediously sawed out and
soldered to the background. This a time consuming technique
called appliqué. It is 1" wide and can be adjusted in
size to some extent. It is stamped on the back by the artist 'Benny
Benally'. It is also stamped 'STERLING' and '.925'. The
.925 is simply another denotation for Sterling Silver. An
interesting piece.
