Here's a few shot of Dean at Glamis

Had a great time in spite of rain and car problems. My bug was overweight and underpowered for the dunes, but it was still a lot of fun. We had two sand rails and the bug, with the rails running 1915’s and me with my stock 1600- they blew me away! However, second day in, one of them toasted their motor, and the other guy got a batch of bad gas and his car ran like crap the rest of the weekend.

Dean's doing a couple of small jumps.

As far as my car goes, I fell into a hole, at about 30mph and chowdered up the front of the car. Messed the skid plate up, broke one of the headlights, and bent the crap out of one of the spindles! I also got a killer headache, too… Also, in the process of the weekend, I blew the bead out on three front tires. I cant wait to go back though. All the pictures are taken around Competition Hill, as we never made it any further than the bowls on the back side of Comp Hill.

Later,
Dean

The dunes are fun to run in, but they can be hard on the equipment. They're also hard to read especially in bright sun light. Holes, dips and ridges (not to mention other veichles) can pop up quickly. These things can be especially hard on bajas which are heavier and have less suspension than most rails. I fell victim to a similar situation the last time I was at Glamis. I was going around a ridge and slammed a hole as I exited the bottom. This also resulted in a torn up front end.
Everyone stay on your toes while riding in the dunes.
