Can You Say Sand
Here's a few more photos from our trips to the dunes. I think you will find them interesting.
These photos are not of bajas. This is so you can see the variety, of vehicles that show up at the dunes in California.
DUNE DeLOREAN
Notice the rooster tail from this guy. This is the Dune Delorean. It's name comes from the Delorean power train. This rail was flat awesome. I bet the guys that were lined up behind him are still picking the sand out of their hair. This rail was featured in Hot VW's back in the mid 80's but I'm not sure exactly when.
Heres a little drag racing going on. Notice the mid engine on left compared to rear on the right.
Here's a rather unique looking rail going against a Datsun pickup (back before they became Nissan).
