I didn't do this, my sister was using the car and decided to see how well it handled on the roof. When I arrived to rescue her I found the car was still driveable. She and her friends had put it back on it's wheels, so I drove it out of the desert. It cost me $60 for a new body and took one weekend to replace it.

Fortunaly this breakdown wasn't too serious. The rubber grommet in the master cylinder became soft and the fluid supply line pulled out. After reinserting the line and refilling the reservoir, pumping the brakes a few times was all it took to get going again. Sure glad I had the brake fluid along. I replaced the grommet immediately upon returning home to avoid the possibility of an accident.

The axle broke off at the nut so we managed to get the wheel back on. I drove it for about 5 miles this way before I could pull it off the trail. We came back the next day with a spare and it only took 20 minutes to get it repaired.
Turned out to be a defective part. It had a small air pocket inside that caused it to fatigue and break. I have a spare in my vehicle now.

This is what happens when you break a spring plate.
