Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church, is a small, but very spiritual faith community of about 40 families. We celebrated our 10th aniversary on the Feast of the Patronage of the Mother of God, on October 1, 1999. In our few short years, we have seen one member of our parish family go on to the priesthood, have sponored a friend of the parish during his time in the seminary, and most recently have had two men from our parish selected for the diaconate. We are financially stable; our church building is old, but has been completely renovated. Last year we saw the addition of our modern food pantry. We presently do not maintain our own rectory, as our Pastor lives in Williamsburg in a rectory owned by our sister parish, Ascension of Our Lord, Byzantine Catholic Church.
We are quite active for our size with most everyone involved with something! Be it music, ushering, serving at the Altar, lectoring and cantoring, adult religious education or Rites of Christian Formation, religious education for our children, after Liturgy fellowship dinners, baking, yard sales, our annual St. Nicholas festival, the Christmas adopt a family program, our food bank, "Entertainment Book" sales, Church maintenance projects or decorating for the Holidays, there is always plenty of fun and fellowship. We would love to meet you!
