I'm a 64 year old guy who lives in Derby, Kansas (just south of Wichita). I grew up in Hodgkins, Illinois, a small suburb of Chicago.  My parents were originally from Kentucky - they moved from the country to the "big city" to make a living and raise a family.  I have a mom (Christine) who lives in Kentucky, an older sister (Phyllis) who lives in Tennessee, and a younger brother (Ken) who lives nearby in Derby. I went to Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, Illinois, graduated from the University of Illinois, married my hometown sweetheart (Kathy), then did a stint in the Air Force.  Kath and I have two daughters - Julie and Heidi.  In 1978 we moved from Dayton, Ohio to Derby, Kansas, where I started a new career with Boeing (now Spirit AeroSystems).  As my Dad would have said, I now have an "office job", but I could still work for a living if I really needed to. Thirty-one years later we also have two sons-in-law (Randy and Jody), two granddaughters (Harper and Lauren McMinn), and a grandson (Jack Wyatt Neff). For 11 years we also had a black Newfoundland, Bailey -  she left us a while ago to play at the Rainbow Bridge.  We now share our home with Alex, our 12 year-old Welsh Springer Spaniel born on the 4th of July.

Depending on the season, my interests include skydiving, hang gliding, powered parachuting, and bungey jumping.....OK, would you believe enjoying my family, playing with my Mac, taking digital photographs, and riding/tinkering with my bikes?  I've got a number of very nice bikes, and weather permitting, I enjoy hitting the gravel roads in the nearby "quad cities" area (Mulvane, Belleplain, Udall, and Douglass).
