Yes, it is all very exciting! We've been in business six years! It some ways it just gets easier and easier, as contacts expand and our experience grows. In 2009, we partnered with Nascent to ship 150 boxes to Cameroon, Africa. In 2008, 214 boxes arrived in Nairobi, Kenya. We now have local distributions at West Coast Teriyaki and Subs and the Point n Space Gallery. We also distribute at the Fairfax City Library. This year, we had to adjust our automatic pricing program twice to accomodate changes at Amazon. One of these involved incorporating the "Charge When Ship" policy of Amazon, and the other is when they changed the way they authenticate program requests. |

We continue to need posters to help us process all the donations. We also need storage space, boxes, and financial donations. We are actively looking for new Board members. Finally, we are starting to pursue grant opportunities. If you know anything about this area, we invite your participation. Your support has been a source of encouragement to all of us as we work to distribute books to those who need them. We hope that you will continue to support our cause. Thank you, Maryann Weber, Executive Administrator |
