"In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" Neutral Milk Hotel cover
"All My Dreams Suck" Heavy rocking instrumental.

"Soccer Algebrax" instrumental. guitar/weird.

Gavin's "studio"these are just me, solo. yeah, I know they're sloppy and rough, but I hope you dig em anyway. If you do, please drop me a note telling me so and you'll put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.

Most of these are kinda old.. like 2001-ish. i've been working on lots of new stuff.. mostly simple sad/optimistic acoustic songs. i'm gonna try to do some recording soon, so check back, won't you? (you won't check back! don't even lie!)

Update 3/30/05: so i sent in a cdr of stuff to a local alt weekly for their annual local music review issue, and they mercifully didn't tear into it too hard! Thank you, San Diego CityBeat!
Here's the review:

What do you do with a CD that warns, “These are sloppy home recordings by a weird guy”? Well, they are—all 26 songs. OK, not all sloppy—more rough around the edges. But there’s something endearing about Bachner’s complete lack of pretense. But Gav, you know there’s better recording equipment out there. Save up for ProTools, buy some good mics and next year, no excuses. (Neutral Milk Hotel cover—cool.) —Kelly Davis

Thank you, Kelly. I'll take your words to heart.. or somewhere around there. By the way, the Neutral Milk Hotel cover I threw on was not either of the 2 on this page, but rather a take on "Oh Comely" I did for an online fan tribute called Fanfare For Neutral Milk Hotel.

Hey anyone in San Diego (around the El Cajon area, preferably): I'm just about always up for jamming with anybody, so just let me know if you wanna get together and rock out sometime.
