Gavin's review: I'm happy with this recorder. For just under $100, it does
a nice job. My one complaint would be the fact it tends to become a little distorted
at loud shows (but I guess that's the case with most analog recorders). For
example, the Peter Murphy show I taped was very bass and drum heavy, plus I
was standing close to the speaker, so the recording came out distorted (yet
listenable) for most of the show.. but when he came out for the encore and played
some songs solo with just a guitar (no bass or drums), it sounds a lot better
(well, with the exception of the wild audience).
Also, when I go to a show my #1 goal is to enjoy the show, (Getting a good recording
is #2), so I'm usually up close to the stage, not worrying about finding the
ideal location for best audio reception.
