Anima Mens

Known colloquially by the Akashan pictograms that form it's name, "Ani" and "Me" - AniMe is a Martial Art based not on the internal flow of Chi, but on the manipulation of external energies, the power of the mind made physical, Telekinesis. In it's inital stages it appears quite similar to a number of Core Earth Martial Arts - proof to some that the Akashans are the original Masters of legend - but dedicated practitioner has access to abilities far beyond those of mere mortals.

As much as anything can be considered "standard" in the vast reaches of the Star Sphere, AniMe is common Martial Art throughout the Akashan influenced worlds. It's spread on CE was initially slow, until the Space Gods realized that the race they had left toying with pointed sticks was now on the brink of "MetaSentience", and primed to accept their mental teachings. The only thing that has limited it's spread since has been the constant balancing act of Coar/Zinnatt/Aka.

Requirements: practitioner must have Psionic Manipulation skill and Kinesis power Group. Aka, [A], and Coar, [C], practitioners are limited to their associated maneuvers. Zinnatt practitioners may choose either maneuver, but may not use a new one while "out of balance". (Many Zinnatt practitioners will "double up" on maneuvers for this reason, each requiring an increase in the Martial Arts skill. "Balance is a long path.")

Notes:
(Ring Bell) - The Martial Artist must ring a bell using only the power of her mind. The Aka practitioner must ring a small bell, a Psionic Manipulation total of 10. The Coar practitioner must ring a very large bell, producing a Telekinesis Effect Value of at least 15. The Zinnatt practitioner may do either, or both!
Telekinetic Missle Deflect - same as Missle Dodge, but it provides protection against all ranged attacks of a physical nature, including Energy Weapons, but not purely mental Psi or spell attacks.
Telekinetic Jump - similar to Jump, but the Martial Artist gets her Psionic Manipulation adds, instead of the flat +3, as a bonus to her Long Jumping Limit Value.
"Ak'Ra" - composed of the pictograms for "Inner" and "Sun", loosely translated as "focused totality of one's ability/existance" (where "existance" is not limited to the current incarnation!), is an incredibly powerful maneuver, doing STR+Psionic Manipulation adds to everything within the range of their Telekinesis power (skill value in meters). This maneuver costs two Possibilites to perform, and the practitioner must also resist any Psi Strain from the use of the Telekinesis. (It may seem odd that an external and violent ability is available to Aka practitioners. But those who persue it note the incredible self-knowledge required, and the few masters who have achieved it say that the resulting vaccum is "beyond spirtuality...".)
