Like most of you out there, I am sure, my first TORG character came right out of the back of the World Book (OK, it was actually the "Edeinos Gone Native" from the Living Land Source Book - Ks. Jim can't buy just one book to start a game!), with all the stats, equipment, and background taken right off the sheet.
My second character was also an existing template - the Cyberdecker from the Papacy - but with a few tweaks to the equipment, and a complete gutting of the history. Since that time, all of my characters have been built from the ground up, as needed. In fact, with the exception of weapon stats, I have found that I can fill in a character sheet faster than I can look through the Source Books, and there is less chance of a party entirely composed of Monitors as well.
In addition, as a GM I have found it neccessary to populate my realms with more than a dozen stereotypes (it's two dozen stereotypes, at least!). Many of these have wound up on the Creatures Page, but some of the more interesting ones are presented here to be used as player characters. I have also tried to provide more "colorful" templates for Core Earth, and to disprove it's "generic" image.
Enjoy!
