Creatures of TORG

For those of you who are not followers of my particular cult of personality, I actually have two honest-to-goodness, ink-on-paper published creature, the "Cairn" and the "Life Stealer" in Creatures of Tharkold. (The Life Stealer does not - I repeat, does not have hooks and chains as in the illustration, but is rather a more subtle creature.) Of course, they also saw fit to turn down four other submissions (we will also ignore the fact that I assisted Clinton Wolf in typing out his winning - all three - Creatures, and he still owes me lunch, but that is another matter entirely), and I totally missed the due dates for Creatures of Aysle and Creatures of Orrorsh. Good thing the Web came a long so that I could share my creative genius with the world.

Some of you might notice a preponderance of Orrorshan Creatures in this list. Whereas on the Equipment list I felt a need to pick up the ball dropped in the Space Gods and Tharkold sourcebooks, I feel that the Orrorsh sourcebook is one of the best written, and most evocative of it's particular genre. I just happen to like Orrorsh. A lot. Also, unlike other cosms, where they can throw the same Boar Akas, Hospitalers, and Ninjas at you day in and day out, Orrorsh is a cosm of Darkness and Fear, and you just can't be truly frightened by a Horror that you have already met and understand. So in the intrests of sowing doubt and uncertainty in adventuring parties everywhere, I present the following.

Note: Though they are called "Creatures", I am merely following the precedent set by WEG. These write-ups are not limited to animals, or even non-humans, but are representative denizens of their respective cosms. (Denizens intended to be used as Characters are in the Template section.)

Aysle

Crepuscula - ephemeral guardian of the twilight stelae.

Living Land

Monarch Rex - where have all the butterflies gone?

Nippon Tech

Vat Ninja - Gospogs with style.

Nile Empire

Gospog Master - when you have to have an army, now!

Orrorsh

BodySnatch - He's come for your liver!
Carrion Nurse - one sick puppy...
"The Creature that Lives in the Trunk" - strange things that go bump in the back seat.
Frighteners, Corruptors, and Tempters - Oh my!
Gro'n Bones - a skeletal Horror with a twist.
Harvesters - more brains!
Jack-O-Lantern Zombies - for a more festive Day of the Dead.
Karoshi - all work and no play makes a very good Horror.
LubDub Bird - sing a song of sixpence, and die!
The Pack - the thrill of the chase - or is that "chased"?
Sense Stealers - a real nowhere Horror...

Tharkold

'Breed - monstrous abominations, or the only hope for peace?
Flesh Giants - the Law of Domination runs amuck!
"Gospogs" of the Sixth Planting - there are some things even demons fear...
