For those of you that remember the halcyon days when you could actually buy lead miniatures, Lance & Laser produced a line of TORG miniatures. If you could find them, you probably found them a bit simple and not too terribly useful. Unless of course you wanted to run a campaign consisting solely of Triology characters - none of whom at the time had been written up - and Gospogs.
Flash forward to the Near Then of X-mas 1994, as a young genius with too much free time and a starter set of Testor's Enamel model paints realized it was possible to construct a Golden Age Flash from existing LEGO (TM) pieces. He has since gone on to corner the market in customized Super Hero LEGO. (Shameless self-promotional page here.)
But that's not important Near Now. What is important is that the same Medival and Modern figures and equipment that went into making that Flash could also be used to create a number of TORG Templates. And with the recent release of Ninja and Adventurers (1930's explorers, including Egypt and Mayan sets) product lines, basically every TORG template is available, and most using off the shelf parts. (For those that aren't, see previous shameless plug. And OK, I admit it, the Edeinos are still tough. But I am working on it.)
