Roman Catholic Intelligence Confessor

Cosm: Core Earth

Background: You have always been a people person. As a child, you easily drew twice the attention of any other "cute kid". In school, you were liked by both the teachers, who tended to excuse your more adventurous behaviour and lack of study habits, and the student body, who never even resented your status as Teacher's Pet. You were voted milk monitor, room monitor, hall monitor, captain of the baseball team, class treasurer, and "most likely to succeed", most often without even announcing yourself as a candidate. Failing your college entrance exams - you never did well on written tests, prefering orals - you were unsure what to do next. You considered the Army, but decided that so much structure just wasn't for you. Sales jobs, like the ones you had in High School, were too much pressure, and always seemed based on convincing someone they needed something they did not. Similarly, Politics, though appealing, seemed inherently immoral as well. You finally gravitated towards the clergy, and knew you had found your true calling. You breezed through Seminary, making many friends, and found yourself assigned to one of the larger churches, even though you had once again graduated only middle of your class. You quickly rose through the ranks, delivering the Easter sermon in under a year, to the largest congregation on record.

But you rose too far, too fast. You began to attract the attention of "the head office", and people who never met you were now flagging works you had written and articles written about you. Your eccumenical work was publically praised, but your further connection with such diverse groups as the Green Party, NOW, and Illinois Nazis were untenable, and it was demanded that you renounce them. But you had made friends, and you couldn't turn your back on them. Your excommunication was as public as the rest of your life, but not as friendly. And as you slid from public view, you found out who your true friends really were.

Luckily, one of those friends was a fellow excommunicate, and they were able to set you up "debriefing" RCIA Agents upon their return from the field. You enjoy the work, and are able to constantly meet new people and help them, but you wait - a little less patiently than before - for the day you can go out in the field yourself, and once again bring the word of G-d to the world.

Personality: You are a nice guy. A really, really nice guy. You have never met a man you didn't like, and versa visa. You are a good listener, and you find people just like to talk to you. But with all the methods at your disposal - temporal, mystical, spiritual - you know that a true confession can never be forced.

Equipment: The "Good Book", last month's copy of the American Journal of Psychology, last month's copy of Playpen magazine (for the articles), three vials Sodium Pentathol, mirror, metronome, "little black book" with over 300 phone numbers (including the Pope's and American President's home numbers), gum, cigarettes.
