For the last four years, D,K,Sachdev has organized and moderated a plenaery session on the marketing, system and strategic aspects of Ka-band and Broadband satellite system at the annual Satellite 200x conference at Washington DC.
This panel continues to attract indutsry leaders as well as a large audience.

Arthur C. Clarke Innovator’s Award
D.K. Sachdev was given the award for 2003 with the following citation: “for his creative and innovative engineering prowess in the field of satellite communications for many years and culminating in the engineering implementation of the world’s first operational direct broadcast radio satellite system”.
