Dead or Alive 3 (2001) Rated Teen This one came out for the Xbox in the US with minimal costumes. The Japanese version was released with extra costumes that could be earned through victory or extended playtime. An upgrade for the US was available on the discs of the "Official XBox Magazine" for a few months in a row. These extra costumes do not have to be earned, they are available after you load the upgrade to your hard drive. The biggest improvement in the version is the backgrounds had become more active. There was now snow and leaves falling around the fighters. Four more characters were added with this installment: Brad Wong, Hayate, Hitomi, and Christie. There is also a new mode where you can setup a match just between computer-controlled characters and then watch them fight.
