About Barney & Kate
Barney and Kate have been together since 1990, and were married on the 20th of July, 1991. We are science fiction fans who also do filk singing. Our favorite SF TV show of all time is Babylon 5. (And, of course, Classic Star Trek.)
Barney is a happily married man. I am a science fiction book and memorabilia collector, currently focusing on non-sports trading cards. (Looking for sf cards from the sixties & seventies.) In addition to Babylon 5, I am a big Classic Star Trek, Deep Space Nine, Alien Nation, X-Files and Many shows that appear on The History Cannnel, and/or The Learning Channel fan. I still sometimes use my Amiga computer, do some woodworking, read Science Fiction, and follow the ways of God through his Son, Jesus Christ.
Kate is a happily married lady who enjoys reading science fiction and historical romances (a time-traveller at heart), does counted cross-stitch, collects dolphins, and likes to play the guitar, write music and poetry, and sing. She has a bachelor's degree from Albion College (Geology, with minors in English and Philosophy), and attended graduate school for a year at Northern Arizona University. Kate was recently laid off and is seeking work in Software Quality Assurance.

And There is This about Us We have four four-legged furry critters that inhabit our household. Our oldest cat is a "Calico Point Siamese" we call Kethry, followed by our Gray Lady, Moondust. Our Youngest kitty is a big black cat named Tarma. Our other four-legged furry critters are a small dog a friend found and gave to us, who we decided to name Scully, and our recently adopted Sisko Dog.
Last good movie we saw at the theatre - Harry Potter and The Fellowship of the Ring. (Though Kate would like to put in a plug for Kate and Leopold.)
We are going to the following Science Fiction Conventions in 2002; Barney is running the Filk Concert at this year's ConDor. Kate is going to Escapade. We are planning on attending Westercon 55 in Los Angeles this Summer (We most likely will be working at the Book Universe table in the Dealers Room.) One or Both of us might attend Con-Chord 16 in August. Depends on how the money holds out. We are doing a World Con this year and will finish off with Loscon 29 in November. (We will also be working at AmyCat's Book Universe Table here also).
