Your First Incense Trail

1. Tamp down the ash in your censer.

2. Make an impression in the ash - in this case the letter "L".

3. Fold a note card in half along the long edge.

4. Fill the card about 1/4 full with incense powder.

5. Fill the impression in the ash with the incense by gently tapping the card above it.

6. Light one end of the trail.

7. The incense will gradually burn following the trail.

When the trail has finished burning, you can stir the ash together and start with a new trail.
