My Job

Many people have pointed out that I have not really mentioned a whole lot about what I currently do to make money.  The last time my "My Job" section was modified was when I officially decided to leave Cap1 and pursue something else.  I initially didn't want to abandon all my humorous edited photos that I did, because many of them still make me laugh.  Based on the quality of my character, I am sure many of you didn't put past the idea that I have been unemployed for all of this time.

I now work for a company called Shaw Industries, which I could go into details about us being full-service flooring company with $4 billion in annual sales, and blah-biggity- blah.  If you want to know how much earnings growth we succeed with last fiscal quarter, I am more than happy to find out for you (if you are, e-mail me), but if you are here on my website, chances are you really aren't looking for that kind of information .

Where I work is a very small group of under 50 employees.  Coming from a big company, to a smaller more quant group has been a wonderful experience.  At least now, if something goes wrong, it's not someone that I have never/will never meet, I know the NAME of the person that is responsible for the snafu.....usually the person responsible's name is.....well, it's me.  When I put "responsible" on my resume, I wasn't lying.  If something goes wrong, I am responsible.

Primarily, what I do, is drive a polelift.  It's much like a forklift, but it has a 10 foot pole on the end of it for lifting and moving carpet around.  To be honest, it's a LOT of fun.  I often compare it to driving those little cars at King's Dominion or Disneyland, but you also get little "missions" to accomplish also.  I took a picture of my lift, and made some 'minor alterations' to it as a prototype for future advancements.  Here is a little before and after glimpse.

Additions include: New rims, HID fog lights, a MONSTROUS wing, NOS system, leather seat, chrome shift knob and exhaust tip, and air induction units on the side. Don't ask how Nitrous Oxide and a full exhaust system will really help an electric vehicle.

I am not the best at what I do (yet), and I still have a lot to learn, but all in all, I highly enjoy my job.  From management, to people that work directly on my crew, everyone's a pleasure to work with.

There are many additions I can and will make to this page, but this is a start.
