Positive reinforcement, in the way of praise and recognition, always helps. Children will feel good about themselves when they have followed the rules.
As the originator of Children's Good Manners Month, I felt that it was very important to develop a year-long program to go along with the month.
Therefore, September is the beginning of a ten month learning experience for youngsters. Throughout the year, 30 different learning topics are covered in the manners theme.
