The Manners Do Matter™ manual, of over 150 pages, details the various manners, broken into 3 per month, for the ten month period.

It gives an explanation for each manner, while providing activities and discussion for students and teachers, in a lesson format.

It includes a section involving parents, too, making them aware of their child's participation in the program. Parents are also encouraged to work at home with their child with additional material.

As an educator, etiquette consultant, parent and newspaper columnist, I have found there to be such a need for this program. Since so many children are going to school lacking in these basic life skills, they need to be taught.

These youngsters are growing up and going into the world without a clue of how to treat others, how to behave, eat or present themselves in public. If these things are learned at an early age, they will became second nature as the child grows older.
