Beer Facts
Draft beer is almost always un-pasteurized and therefore is more fragile. It should be consumed after being "tapped", and is generally truer to the flavors of the ingredients as pasteurization exposes the beer to heat and changes the flavor profile. The three most often causes of beer foaming are: the temperature of the beer keg, the balance of the draft beer system pressure and the cleanliness of the draft beer system. Did you know that a draft beer system should be cleaned at least once every month? More frequent cleaning is required when usage is low and lines are not kept cool. When the keg is empty and the unit is not going to be used for a while, the system still needs to be cleaned periodically to prevent yeast build up, beer stones and sediment in the beer line.
